Who can apply for an Amplify Card?
Our Amplify Credit Cards are available to new and existing BankSA customers who satisfy our normal lending criteria. Terms, conditions, fees and charges apply.
How do I apply for an Amplify Card?
It’s easy to apply for Amplify, apply in any of the following ways:

I already hold a BankSA credit card. How do I switch to Amplify?
If you want to switch to another card product, please call us on 13 33 30 or visit your nearest BankSA branch to discuss your options.
Can I switch between rewards programs?
Yes, you can move from Amplify Qantas to Amplify Rewards or from Amplify Rewards to Amplify Qantas at any time by completing a Program Switch Request and submit it in your local branch. Where a change of rewards program is processed mid cycle, transactions made before the switch is processed will earn points towards the old program (subject to that program’s terms and conditions). Transactions made on or after the day the switch is processed will earn points in the new program (subject to that program’s terms and conditions). Important: Points already earned within the previous rewards program will not be transferred to the new rewards program. You will have 90 days to use your Amplify points if you switch from Amplify Rewards to Amplify Qantas. Qantas Points are governed by the conditions in the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
Can I have an additional card holder?
An additional card can be issued on the primary cardholder's credit card account to any nominated person over the age of 16 years. All Amplify points remain the benefit of the primary cardholder.
What happens to my points if I close my Amplify Credit Card account?
For Amplify Rewards, Amplify points can still be redeemed up to 90 days after your credit card has been closed. You will need to give us a call on 1300 490 641 as you will lose access to the online portal. After this time points expire and will no longer be available for redemption. For Amplify Qantas, any eligible purchases that earn Qantas Points will be credited to the nominated Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account at the end of the last statement cycle. You can redeem Qantas Points while you remain an active member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. Please visit qantas.com/frequentflyer for terms and conditions.
How do I access my Amplify Rewards Account Online?
You can access your Amplify Rewards Account via Internet Banking or the Mobile App and following the instructions below:
Internet Banking
- 1. Logon to BankSA Internet Banking
- 2. Select your Rewards Credit Card
- 3. From the 'Account Details' page, select ‘Redeem my points' and follow the prompts.
Mobile App
- 1. Logon to the BankSA Mobile App
- 2. Select your Rewards Credit Card
- 3. From 'Services' tap ‘Redeem my points' and follow the prompts.
Earning points
Which purchases are ineligible for Earning points using an Amplify Card?
You will not earn points on interest, fees and charges, cash or ATM cash advances, cash equivalent transactions, gambling transactions, BPAY or similar transactions (such as Post Billpay), refunds and balance transfers debited from the card account. You will also not earn points in certain circumstances when your account is overdue. For personal cards, purchases from or payments to a local, state or federal government or government related agency are also ineligible to earn points.
Are my points capped?
Points are not capped but once you reach the spend threshold within your statement cycle your points earn rate per dollar will be reduced.
How are the Amplify points allocated on a joint account?
Amplify Rewards: Amplify points earned on a joint account are shared for redemption. Either party on a joint account can log onto the rewards website and redeem points earned by using their account or cards. Amplify Qantas: only one account holder can be nominated to have the Qantas Points earned from the joint Amplify account to be credited to the Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account. The Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account needs to be in the same name as the nominated account holder. Joint account holders can select to change the account holder nominated by calling the Amplify service centre.
Redeeming points
How can I check my Amplify points balance?
For Amplify Rewards members, you can check your Amplify points on your Amplify Rewards Account which can be accessed via Internet or Mobile Banking. Alternatively you can call the BankSA Amplify Rewards Centre on 1300 490 641 (8am – 8pm, AEST, Monday to Friday excluding National Public Holidays). If you have switched to Amplify Qantas or your Amplify Card Account has been closed in the last 90 days, you’ll need to call the Amplify Rewards Centre to redeem your points. Qantas Points balances can be checked at qantas.com/frequentflyer. For both Amplify Rewards and Amplify Qantas programs, the total points earned in each statement cycle will be displayed on your monthly credit card statement.
How long are my Reward points valid for?
Points don’t expire while you’re an Amplify account holder. If you cease to be an Amplify cardholder, your points will expire 90 days after the date you close your Amplify account.
How do I redeem my Amplify points?
Online: via your Amplify Rewards Account which can be accessed via Internet or Mobile Banking Call us: BankSA Amplify Rewards Centre – 1300 490 641 (8am – 8pm, AEST, Monday to Friday excluding National Public Holidays). If you have switched to Amplify Qantas or your Amplify Card Account has been closed, you will no longer have access to the online portal. You will need to call the Amplify Rewards Centre within the 90 days to redeem your points as they will expire.
Can Additional Cardholders redeem Amplify points for a reward?
No. Only the Primary Account Holder can redeem Amplify points. Additional cardholders cannot redeem rewards
What is the minimum points required to redeem rewards?
- For personal cards – have a balance of at least 3,000 points unless we advise you otherwise; and have enough points in your balance at the time of your redemption.
- For business cards – have earned 3,000 points while part of the Amplify rewards program; and have enough points in your balance at the time of your redemption.
Do I receive a receipt for my redemption?
A specific receipt is not provided for any redemption other than Amplify Travel bookings, however an order number is provided to you at the time of redemption. This order number allows you to track where your delivery is up to within the fulfillment cycle. The order number can also be quoted to an Amplify Rewards Centre if there is a problem with the redemption.
Transferring points
How do I link my Amplify Card to my Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number?
When you apply for your Amplify Card, simply select 'Amplify Qantas' as your rewards program option. Include your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership details on your Credit Card Application or Credit Card Product Transfer form. Or let us know later by calling us on 1300 490 641. Joint account owners can nominate only one of them to receive Qantas Points earned on an Amplify Card linked to Amplify Qantas. If you are an existing Amplify cardholder and you would like to switch from Amplify Rewards to Amplify Qantas, simply complete our Program Switch Request. As soon as we have processed the form you will begin to earn Qantas Points on your purchases1. You will have 90 days to redeem any remaining Amplify points2.
What if I’m not already a Qantas Frequent Flyer program member?
As a BankSA Amplify Qantas Signature / Platinum / Business primary cardholder, you are eligible to receive a complimentary Qantas Frequent Flyer membership. If you have not yet registered for your complimentary Qantas Frequent Flyer membership, you may register at www.qantaspoints.com/ffjoinbanksa. When your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership is confirmed, you need to advise BankSA of your membership number and opt in to the Amplify Qantas rewards program to start earning Qantas Points on eligible purchases through your BankSA credit card.
Is there a limit to the number of times I can transfer my points to Everyday Rewards?
No, you can transfer your Amplify points to your Everyday Rewards account as often as you like, as long as you have a minimum of 3,000 Amplify points.
Is there a maximum number of Everyday Rewards dollars that I can have in my Everyday Rewards account?
You cannot have more than $4,000 Everyday Rewards dollars in your account at any one time. If you have more than $4,000 Everyday Rewards dollars in your account, you will not be able to collect any Everyday Rewards dollars in excess of this amount and, before you will be able to continue earning Everyday Rewards dollars:
- Everyday Rewards will reduce your Everyday Rewards dollars in another way chosen by Everyday Rewards at their discretion having regard to their legitimate business interests, risk assessment and applicable law (for example, by converting Everyday Rewards dollars into Gift Cards).
- If you have opted in to convert to Qantas Points, Everyday Rewards will convert the excess Everyday Rewards dollars into Qantas Points.
Is there a minimum number of points I can automatically transfer?
No, when you opt-in, your entire Amplify points balance will be automatically transferred to the nominated transfer partner each month on your credit card statement date.
Is there a maximum number of points I can transfer to a points transfer partner?
When making a manual one-off transfer of your Amplify Rewards points to Everyday Rewards you can transfer up to 150,000 points at a time. Make sure to check your Everyday Rewards dollar balance before you transfer as you cannot have more than $4,000 Everyday Rewards dollars in your account at any one time. Review the Everyday Rewards Terms and Conditions for more information. There is no maximum on the Auto Redemption option, all points in your Amplify Rewards balance will be transferred to the partner at the end of the statement cycle. There are no maximum limits on other points transfer partners.
When do my points get updated or transferred?
For Amplify Rewards, Amplify points are updated the next business day after a transaction is posted to your account. For Amplify Qantas, Qantas Points earned in a statement cycle are transferred to the nominated Qantas Frequent Flyer account after the end of that statement cycle.
What if I put in the wrong membership information, want to cancel my transfer or have another question?
It is your responsibility to ensure the information you enter is correct however if you have noticed an error or received an email to say your points transfer was unsuccessful, please call the BankSA Amplify Rewards Centre on 1300 490 641 (8am – 8pm, AEST, Monday to Friday excluding National Public Holidays) and we will do our best to help.
Amplify Travel
Am I eligible to use Amplify Travel for my travel bookings?
Primary Cardholders of the Amplify Rewards Program are eligible to redeem with Amplify Travel.
Who can I book travel for?
With Amplify Travel, you can book travel for anyone, as long as you are the Primary Cardholder of the Amplify Rewards Program.
Can I make a booking via the Amplify Travel Rewards Centre?
From 9 October 2024 new bookings can only be made through the Amplify Travel powered by Expedia which can be accessed from the Amplify Rewards website.
Who do I contact to edit or manage a travel booking made through Amplify Travel?
For bookings made before 9 October 2024 you can speak to a travel consultant by calling the BankSA Amplify Rewards Centre on 1300 490 641 (8am – 8pm, AEST, Monday to Friday excluding National Public Holidays). For bookings made after 9 October 2024 you can manage the booking by navigating to Amplify Travel and clicking Book now to access the Expedia website, or follow the instructions in your travel confirmation email.
Can I still make a travel booking if I don’t have enough points?
Yes you can! You can use a combination of points and payment to secure your booking. If redeeming points you will not be able to complete your booking unless you have the minimum amount of Rewards points required, which is 3,000 Rewards points. You need a minimum of 3,000 point to make a booking. If you do not have the minimum 3,000 points you can use another payment method to complete the booking.
Can I select the amount of Rewards points used for my booking?
Yes. On the payment page you can select the amount of Rewards points you want to use by moving the Payment Slider from left to right. This will automatically calculate the amount of Australian dollars that will be due. A minimum of 3,000 Rewards points is required to complete each booking.
Can I earn Rewards points from the pay component of my booking in Australian dollars?
Yes. The pay component of your booking is eligible to earn Rewards points if you use your BankSA Rewards Credit Card for the payment portion of the booking. For more information on earning rewards points, refer to the BankSA Amplify Terms and Conditions or the BankSA Amplify Business Credit Card Rewards Terms and Conditions.
Can I earn Air Miles or Frequent Flyer points from my flight booking?
Air Miles and Frequent Flyer points can be earned from eligible flight tickets* if you are a member of the relevant program. Your membership number for the affiliated airline with which you are travelling should be entered at the time of booking and it will be recorded during your booking. If you are a Air Miles or Frequent Flyer member, please retain your air ticket and boarding pass, as we cannot be held responsible for obtaining copies of your air ticket at any future date. *Eligible flight tickets are subject to flight ticket’s fare class governed by airlines.
What if I don’t receive my email confirmation upon booking or can’t find it?
If you have successfully made a booking but do not receive an email confirmation within 2 hours, or your e-ticket or e-voucher in the next 48 hours please check your spam folder. If you are still unable to locate the confirmation log back into Amplify Travel powered by Expedia through Online Banking. Once you’re in the Expedia booking website select Trips and the Trip you want to view. Select Menu and Print Itinerary or View As PDF. You can save the PDF as confirmation.
What are the amendment and cancellation fees should my travel plans change?
For bookings made after 9 October 2024, please see Expedia Help Centre for more information. For bookings made before 9 October 2024 see below: Supplier amendment and cancellation fees can vary by supplier, fare type and room type and are viewable online or will be advised by your travel consultant at the Amplify Rewards Centre at the time of your request. In addition to the supplier’s amendment or cancellation charge, an Amplify Travel Amendment / Cancellation Fee will be charged Amendments and Cancellations are subject to the Mastercard Loyalty Solutions Privacy Policy Terms and Conditions set out in the Terms & Conditions clause 2.9 and as disclosed at the time of booking in respect of the Travel Suppliers’ Amendment and Cancellation fees. In certain circumstances, Amendments and Cancellations may not be possible. If Amendments and Cancellations are possible, one or more of the following fees components will apply:
- Travel Suppliers’ Amendment and Cancellation Fees applicable as part of the Amendment or Cancellation;
- Amplify Travel Program Amendment Fees for bookings:
- AUD$33 per traveler for domestic bookings;
- AUD$30 per traveler for trans-tasman bookings;
- AUD$75 per traveler for international bookings.
- Amplify Travel Program Refund Processing Charge in the event of Cancellation or Amendment:
- AUD$55 per traveler for domestic bookings;
- AUD$50 per traveler for trans-tasman bookings; and
- AUD$300 per traveler for international bookings,
The Rewards points and pay component used in original booking will be used to offset 1) Supplier’s amendment & cancellation charge (if applicable) and 2) the Amplify Travel Amendment / Cancellation Fee. Please note that it is possible that total amendment or cancellation fees could exceed the cost of the original booking.
What is the refund policy should I cancel my plans?
If cancelling existing bookings made before 9 October 2024 the Amplify points, less any applicable cancellation fees, will be refunded but cannot be held into credit. The pay component, less any applicable cancellation fees, will be refunded to the credit card that was used at the time of booking. The booking fee of the original booking is non-refundable (if applicable).
What happens if I miss my flight or do not arrive at my hotel?
No refund or credit of Amplify points will be reimbursed if the booking is not used.
What other terms & conditions may apply to the Amplify Travel program?
In addition to the Amplify Travel Terms & Conditions, all bookings may be subject to rules or conditions as set by the carrier (which may include separate fees and charges).
